The Black Knights Volleyball team defeated St Ignatius when the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture staged the Labour Day Volleyball finals at the Tabatinga Sports Club Ground, last Friday.
St Ignatius drew first blood scoring 25-17 and 25-22 in the first two games. However, Black Knights rebounded to capture the last three games, 27-25, 25-15, 15-3.
The females played a best of three clash, and once again triumphed, defeating St Ignatius 25-13, 25-14.
Sports Officer of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Megan Thomas presented representative of the male team, Sheldon Cupido with the first prize while Alex Charlie presented Althea Mendonca Saviar with the winnings for the females.
