Police on the West Bank of Demerara are still trying to locate the man who stabbed and killed 51-year-old Rupert Randolph Gill, Friday evening.
According to a police source, the assailant who is said to be in the late twenties was seen in the River View Ruimveldt area shortly after the murder took place.
Rupert Randolph Gill, of Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, was stabbed to death after he intervened in a row.
The incident occurred around 17:30hrs, a short distance from the man’s home.
Yesterday, the man’s relatives refuted the claim that Gill was killed over a “DVD row”.
A female relative told Kaieteur News “she was totally annoyed.”
