Old people always seh that when de poe bore is everything does run out and sometimes de mess it does lef behind does tek years to clean up. Well somebody drive a nail in de poe this week. Bright and early Monday de police decide to charge de woman who got de same powers as a judge.
It shock dem boys because judges and big ones like that don’t normally get charge these days. In Burnham time, a judge did get sling up and he had to quit. He commit a mistake of approaching a woman in de court and the powers didn’t spare he.
But since then nutten didn’t happen till now. Dem charge the Registrar and suddenly de public see how much money dem had in de courts. Millions of dollars go to some judges but wha mek things look bad is that de top man collect three times wha de second man collect. It look like if he did doing all de wuk.
When people hear bout de money nuff of dem start fuh whisper and dem didn’t whisper nice things. Bad words come out of dem mouth and of course dem opposition boys start fuh talk bout corruption.
But wha dem boys want fuh know is why this information didn’t come out before de charge. And dem want fuh know why some judge only get a small share of de money. Is time fuh shame. That is wha dem boys seh.
Is de same thing wid de GRA people. After one year and because de people refuse to tek de polygraph dem end up in court. If you see people who tun up in court that day. Everybody know that when you wuk wid Customs you can mek a dollar. People rush to wuk wid Customs just like how people join de police to wuk as traffic policemen. In short, dem wukking wheh de money deh.
Anyhow, people sit down and decide that dem Customs officers get too rich and some of dem only wuk fuh a few months. Dem put all kind of people to spy pun de Customs officers but dem couldn’t ketch dem till a boat come in.
Dem boys seh that it was a holy boat. In de same way how de good man, Jesus, tun water into wine, somebody pun de boat tun wine into soft drink. Don’t worry wid wha de invoice claim. A miracle tek place but Guyana ain’t ready fuh a miracle suh de Customs people get charge.
Dem boys seh that dem woulda prefer if de liquor did come because dem know that dem can mek soft drink at home and call it swank or Kool Aid. Liquor is liquor and de miracle should not have happened.
De lawyer who representing dem Customs officer intend to use de Good Book to prove that he clients ain’t do nutten and he gun prove that Khurshid is de devil because he refuse to believe.
Talking bout believing, dem boys believe that dem gun get dem money from Clico but nuff of dem don’t believe that dem gun get dem NIS money. Nuff of dem now claiming that when dem go to collect dem benefits dem finding out dem ain’t got enough contributions.
Now if a man wuk everyday from de time de NIS start till now how come he can’t get enough contributions? That is wha dem boys want to know. Dem boys now believe that NIS stalling to avoid paying, because if dem pay all who got to collect then de scheme gun run out of money and is more problems. People who getting pay now ain’t gun get pay.
But dem boys seh that de Scheme should not get into problems because nuff people dead before dem can collect. Things reach de stage when staff members actually collect dead people money.
De Opposition Leader ain’t dead and he gun live long. But like everybody he frighten dead. Dem boys seh that imagine that he going to a meeting and he feel a chest pain and he change he mind and drive straight to hospital.
Is de same thing wid Lumumba. He get in an accident and de next thing people know is that he decide that he turning to de Lord. He too think that he woulda dead. De funny thing is as soon as Lumumba get strong he done wid turning to de Lord.
Talk half. Lef half.
