The Guyana Chess Federation’s third tournament of the year gets underway today at the Keishar’s Sports Club at Camp and Hadfield Streets, Georgetown.
The DDL-sponsored event, being contested under the Swiss system and consisting of eight rounds, commences with a single round today from 5:00pm. Four rounds are set for tomorrow, starting at 10:00am, while the remaining three rounds will be played next Tuesday (May 5) also from 10:00am. A time control of ninety minutes is allotted per game.
The tournament will be played in two categories, Senior and Novices. The seniors will start today, while the Novices will get into action tomorrow.
The tournament is exclusively sponsored by DDL under the Topco Brand Juice.
