Well the auditions for the 2009 Guyana Model Search and Stylists Designers Portfolio has from all accounts sizzled at every location. Auditions were hosted on Friday and Saturday in Georgetown, Linden, New Amsterdam and Bartica.
For the Georgetown auditions, more than 100 persons turned up at the Duke Lodge in Kingston (both aspiring models and designers) and according to organizer, Sonia Noel, totally stunned the panel with their attractive runway appearances, sculptured physiques and ultimate designing talent.
The male model entrants in Bartica were particularly a ‘blow away’ while the applicants in Linden and New Amsterdam were equally impressive. There is word also that there is a very impressive East Indian potential designer among the Georgetown applicants who has indicated she will create a ‘spanking brand new sizzling’ line that consists of modern Muslim apparel. There are plans to take an audition to Essequibo next year.
The finals of the Guyana Model Search and Stylists Designers Portfolio will take place on July 5, at the Splashmins Fun Park and Resort.
This event is open to aspiring and potential models and designers who may have the talent but has never displayed practically anything or walked the runway.
Of course, participants for the model search aspect of this venture are required to be between ages 16 to 22 years, while there is no age limit set for stylist designers.
