Conquerors oppose Santos, Uprising face Renaissance

The 2009 Coca Cola under-15 football competition sponsored by Banks DIH Limited and organised by the Georgetown Football Association has reached the semi-final stage which is set for Sunday at the Tucville ground.

Fruta Conquerors will come up against Santos in the first semi-final at 08:00hrs with the second between Uprising and Renaissance.

In final preliminary round play, Santos, behind a 5 goal effort from Deshawn Mike, hammered Georgetown Football Club 8-1. Mike found the back of the nets in the 8th, 24th, 35th, 38th and 46th minute. Kevin Leote was on target in the 1st and 26th minute with the other goal scored by Jerome Liddell in the 22nd minute. Jermaine Yokun was the lone scorer for GFC in the 43rd minute.

Fruta Conquerors were 3-0 winners over Flamingo with a goal each from Pernell Schultz (10), Shackille Brown (47) and Dwayne Lindie in the 67th.

Renaissance thumped Thomas United 3-1, Selwyn Williams blasting all three goals with Thomas’ lone effort knocked in by Leon Richardson (69).

Uprising needled Riddim Squad, Patrick Murray sealing the deal in the 29th.
