Underdog with 79 games emerged champions of the ‘Waysiders’ domino competition played last weekend at Mustak’s Mohamed residence at Good success Wakenaam.
Harry Narine marked 18, James Ramnarine 16, Mohamed Sheriffudeen 14 and Shafdar Ali 12 games for the winners.
All Star came second with 75 games. Their leading players were Khemraj Surjupaul and Mohamed Kalam, who made 17 and 16 games respectively.
Sea Shore finished third with 69 games. Anil Ramrattan chalked 16, Andrew Osborne 15 and David Ramlall 14.
Underdog collected the winning trophy and $10,000.
‘Waysiders’ is a domino team from Wakenaam and a member of the team, overseas based Guyanese and former school teacher Madan Mohanram Budai, said the team is pleased to be associated with domino on the island once again.
He also thanked Kaieteur sport for coverage of the event, expressing pleasure for the promotion of sports locally.
