Dear Editor,
Interesting headline story carried by SN dated 4.19.2009 on The Carnegie School of Home Economics.
The bottom line is that we are far off for many reasons in witnessing the major boost for our Tourism Sector, and should it continue to be the desire of the institution in tapping into the tourism market with its services and products, we have to adapt the approach of going to the market where it is much more visible rather than “wait and see.”
It definitely means that you have to spend in order to gain in business and this institution needs to consult with GO INVEST for their expertise on this aspect and attending trade fairs.
Be creative with a new package product/s to be displayed at regional trade fairs and who knows, it might be an ideal one that you might begin to export on a regular large scale. It might even be able to attract further markets.
Participation at some local events such as Emancipation Day and GuyExpo 2009 are a good start in order to begin generating some funds for a possible venture down the line.
