Local FIFA referees continue to keep the Golden Arrowhead aloft, Linden’s Stanley Lancaster, the latest to gain appointment.
Lancaster is currently in Tijuana, Mexico where he is officiating in the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship.
The 12-day event being staged at the Estadio Caliente will decide the Confederation’s four qualifiers for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup from October 24 to November 15 in Nigeria kicks off yesterday with Honduras facing Canada and Cuba taking on the USA in the first double-header of the tournament.
This is Lancaster’s first CONCACAF appointment since he became a FIFA Referee in 2004.
