West Indies Captain Claudius Butts and team-mate Albert LaRose, both of who returned recently after participating in the IRB World Sevens Series Tournament in Hong Kong are expected to be among the players on show this Sunday, at the National Park.
The event is the Guyana Rugby Football Union season opening Banks Sevens Championships which will see representative teams from Yamaha Caribs, Hornets and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF).
Apart from the two players, others expected to take part are (Caribs) – Theodore Henry and Walter George, while Hornets line-up will include Peabo Hamilton, Elwin Chase and Satesh Samaroo.
On the distaff side- Caribs will be led by national Captain Sabola Gray with support from Carrin Skeete, while it is understood that Hornets and GDF will combine and their side should be made up with players such as Nicole Nero, Nakita Davis and Shennel Daniels.
