As the Guyana Football Federation elections loom, President of the Georgetown Football Association, Troy Mendonca has accepted a nomination by executives of his entity for the position of 1st Vice President of the GFF.
Mendonca’s nomination follows that of Alfred King, earlier nominated by the Guyana Football Referee’s Council (GFRC) and Dwayne Lovell, also nominated by the GFRC for the positions of 1st Vice President and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, respectively.
Lovell will also have to convince the electorate that he is more suitable for the position following the nomination by the GFA of Ms. Vanessa Dickenson of the Women Football Association.
The Executive of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) has despatched their nominations to the executive of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) yesterday afternoon closely on the heels of those by the GFRC.

The GFF would be holding its AGM on Saturday April 25 at the Ocean View Hotel, Lilliendaal but only the positions of 1st Vice President, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary (admin) would be contested. Nominations close on April 15.
