The 2009 Guyana Cricket Board female Inter County 50 overs tournament is set to bowl off today at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary from 9:30hrs.
Given the opportunity to set the tone for the rest of the rest of the competition in this first round are Demerara and Essequibo.
Round two, tomorrow at the same venue, will see the Cinderella County Essequibo again in action, this time against their counterparts from the Ancient County, Berbice.
Berbice and Demerara will then go heat to head in the third round on Saturday at the GCC ground, Bourda.
The Berbice team for this tournament will be led by Shamaine Campbell. The other players are Tracey Miller, Natasha Gangoo, Erva Giddings, Melanie Henry, Nikita Toney, Kana MEntore, Jacquline Singh, Inga Henry, Staffie Rodney, Tremaline Smartt, Shonella Mc Bean, Mirmala Sewdat and Hermala Sewdat.
Manager is Angela Haniff and coach, Michael Hyles.
