Man hospitalised after cutlass attack

A Cove and John resident is currently being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital for several chops, which he sustained about his body on Easter Sunday.
Reports are that 65-year-old Rajkumar was rushed to the hospital by police ranks who were on patrol after two men on the Cove and John Public Road attacked him shortly after 16:00 hours.
While it is still not clear what really transpired, this newspaper was told that Rajkumar was seen arguing with two men moments before the attack.
Kaieteur News was told that the men who attacked him are said to be brothers.
It is also not clear who dropped the wounded man off at the Cove and John Police station. He was subsequently taken to the hospital where he was treated and admitted.
