Up to press time yesterday, a Port Kaituma resident was still in the Operating Theater at the Georgetown Public Hospital being treated for several chops about his body.
Reports are that 35 year-old Cheddie Dawson was wounded during a heated argument with another man.
He is currently nursing chop wounds to his head, back and right shoulder.
This newspaper was told that sometime around noon yesterday, Dawson and another man were seen arguing.
Subsequently, the two were seen engaged in a cutlass brawl.
However, from all indication Dawson received the worst injuries, as he had to be air dashed to the city for medical attention.
There are reports that the other wounded man was treated at the Port Kaituma Hospital and subsequently handed over to the police.
Investigations are on going.
