Dear Editor,
In a letter published in Kaieteur News on February 23, I wrote complaining about the non functioning street lights between Brittana and No. 30 Village, West Coast, Berbice. Unfortunately, the condition has not changed.
Coincidentally, about the same time the letter was published, streets lights in the Cotton Tree, West Coast, Berbice area also had similar problems (for how long I cannot say”. However, I passed by the area a few days ago and discovered that the lights were back on, while those in the Britannia/No. 30 area, sad to say, remain in their former condition.
For how much longer must residents be deprived from this “modern” convenience? What will it take for the relevant authority to demonstrate efficiency and care and correct this deficiency?
