Three Berbice players captured titles when the Guyana Table Tennis Association Master’s Table Tennis tournament was played at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Sunday last.
Those claiming titles were Kamal Dhani, Yagya Doman and Patrick Moorih, while Xen Goliah walked away with three (3) titles, 40 years & over, 45 years and over and 50 years and over.
The tournament was divided into four (4) categories: 40 years and over, 45 years and over, 50 years and over and 55 years & over and saw over 16 entries with players coming from far as Corriverton, Berbice.

final; Goliah defeated Bruce Murray at 11-5, 11-2, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8 (3-2) Third place went to Morton Blake he beat Remy Taitt at 6-11, 11-9, 11-7,11-7 (3-Quarter-finals:
Blake and Murray got a bye to the semi-finals
Taitt defeated Kamal Dhani (Berbice) at 11-4, 11-4,11-7,(3-0)
Goliah beat Joseph Lovell at 11-6, 11-5, 11-7 (3-0)
Semi-Finals:
Murray defeated Taitt at 11-4, 11-4, 10-12, 11-4 (3-1)
Goliah defeated Blake at 8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-6 (3-1))
45 years and over
final Goliah defeated Remy Taitt at 11-2, 6-11,11-6,11-3 (3-1)
Third place went to Murray he defeated Kamal Dhani (Berbice) at 11-5,11-6,11-5 (3-Quarter-finals:

Goliah defeated Blake at 11-8, 11-6, 11-7 (3-0)
Murray defeated Yaw at 11-6, 9-11, 11-5, 11-8 (3-1)
55 years and over
round robin finals Bruce Murray defeated Joe Clarke (the oldest player in the tourney 83 years old) at 11-5, 11-9, 11-9 (3-0) and Leon Yaw at 11-4,11-5,11-6 (3-0) second place went to Clarke he defeated Yaw at 6-11, 15-13,11-8,11-5 (3-1)
