The Diamond Life and General Insurance Company Limited under-19 Inter-Zone cricket tournament is scheduled to bowl off tomorrow at the Blairmont Community Centre ground.
West Berbice will tangle with Lower Corentyne in the two-day match with the winner booking a place in the final.
Corentyne would be led by the experienced and hard hitting all rounder and captain Jonathan Foo and would start as favourite. Foo, will enjoy able support in the batting from his deputy Eon Hooper, Harrinarine Chattergoon, Dominic Ricky, Manoj Pooranath and Naresh Mahadeo.
The bowling would be in the hands of medium pacers Sharmendra Hardial and Terrence Madramootoo with support from left arm spinner Naresh Mahadeo and off spinners Sahadeo Somai and Hemant Rabindradat.
West Berbice would depend heavily on skipper Asif Khan, vice captain Sherwyn McPherson, Raffel Estriado, Brentnol Woolford and Daneshwar Ramkissoon to post a solid score or set up a good foundation if they have to chase the runs.
Their bowling department would be led by national under-19 fast bowler Keron Fraser and medium pacers Raun Johnson and Jermain Nicholson.
The spin attack features off spinner Asif Khan and Dharmendra Prashad with leg spinner Wazid Subhan. The first ball is expected to be bowled at 11:00hrs tomorrow.
