The Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union has won the right to be the sole bargaining body for Guyana Water Inc.
The results were announced yesterday, one week after the poll that involved the National Union of Public Service Employees, the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union, and the National Association of Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Employees.
The Transport union will now be representing from supervisors to labourers on any matter of concern. The union will also cover employees across the coast, Linden and the Essequibo Islands.
