Dear Editor,
We, the people of Guyana, are mourning for two things: the death of President Janet Jagan and the other death, of our beloved country Guyana.
I hope President Bharrat Jagdeo’s literally meant that Guyana has become poorer with the loss of Mrs. Jagan – because it really has.
President Jagan was the figure that upheld the People’s Progressive Party to what little moral fibre the party had left in it.
Dr. Cheddi Jagan died and now the nation has lost the last politician within the ruling party that held up some form of credibility. She takes all these good qualities with her to the grave. So, the cat’s away and the mice will play.
And now! Oh, God, help us all.
