President Bharrat Jagdeo has held talks with Jordan’s Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on appropriate ways to further bolster ties between Jordan and Guyana.
During a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, Judeh reiterated the King’s keenness to foster Jordan’s relations with Guyana and Latin American countries.
Judeh stressed the need to exert more efforts to cement the two countries in different fields. He said that exchange visits between the two countries’ high-profile officials would provide a key opportunity to explore new prospects of bilateral cooperation.
He underscored the future role of Guyana and other Latin American states toward the achievement security, stability and peace in the Middle East.
The King’s relentless and intensive efforts to bring just, durable and comprehensive peace to the region, Judeh added, aim to ensure the establishment of the Palestinian independent state in accordance with the two-state solution and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
President Jagdeo lauded the Monarch’s stances to achieve Mideast peace and stability and stressed his country’s keenness to boost ties with the Kingdom.
