Widely regarded as the junior component of the Kashif & Shanghai Organisation, promoters of the Next Level Entertainment Basketball Tournament Jamal Douglas, Yannick Charles and Travis Shepherd under the astute guidance of co-founders of the K&S Organisation Kashif Muhammad and Aubrey Major displayed the quality and incisive organisational savvy that definitely augurs well for them in the promotional realm in the future.
Led by Muhammad, whose organisation’s ability to maintain order at crowded events is unmatched, Next Level’s all-round performance clearly indicated that they are intent on following closely in the footsteps of their mentors as they managed to stage an incident free tournament which received overwhelming support from lovers of the sport.
Last Sunday’s final that pitted Georgetown’s Dyna Ravens versus Linden’s Victory Valley Royals saw a sell-out crowd converge at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and in order to avoid the chaos that sometimes is inescapable at events that attract a large audience, a certain amount of organisational competency is required.
Muhammad, whose organisation has an attractive record of hosting large scale activities such as musical concerts, the annual K&S Football Extravaganza and being retained for security purposes at other mega events, was seen on the job giving instructions to patrons where to park their vehicles that entered the compound which was followed by an orderly entrance into the arena.
All this was done despite a capacity crowd with no instance of confusion or unwarranted delays.
It was definitely a perfect example of high quality organisational talent on display and according to most it really caught the eye. With the expanding trend of unruly behaviour being witnessed at many sporting events recently, it would be wise for promoters to seek advice from the K&S Organisation or to even retain its services in the future.
Many more persons would be willing to come out and support sports, but their safety must be guaranteed at all cost.
