The police are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination to determine how 33-year-old Dexter Cornelius met his death.
Cornelius, of Madewini, was found lying dead on the roadway at Yarrowkabra Creek, Soesdyke/Linden Highway at around 05:35 hours yesterday.
Except for a wound on his head, which investigators believe may have been the result of a fall, investigators found no other visible signs of injury to the exposed parts of the body.
Relatives said that Cornelius left home on Tuesday afternoon for his usual walk.
When he did not return they began searching for him early yesterday morning and later found him lying dead at the side of the road.
The post mortem will be performed tomorrow.
