Runaway teen found
Andre Pratt called Ron
After being missing for eight days, 11-year-old Andre Pratt, also known as Ron, was found lingering at the Plaisance Car Park on Friday night last..
The youth of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara was found at around 21:00hrs by one of his cousins who was also searching for him at the time.
The youth was apparently staying at a house near Independence Park, with two other youths who also ran away from home,.
He told Kaieteur News yesterday that he decided to run away from home because his sister had accused him of stealing her money and her cell phone. According to the youth, she had also threatened to break his arms.
He explained that he never stole his sister’s money or her cell phone, as one of his friend’s who was staying there at the time, committed the act.
His mother, Sharon Campbell, had told Kaieteur News that she was in Trinidad on vacation at the time, and immediately flew back to Guyana after learning that her son had gone missing.
Now that she knows why her son had ran away, Campbell noted that she plans on taking him with her whenever she leaves the country again.
