A driver who pleaded guilty to breach of insurance, overload of minibus and continuous loud music was fined $50,000 by Magistrate Faith McGusty, yesterday.
Ganesh Roopnarine was, however, reprimanded and discharged on the charge of overload.
According to the police, Roopnarine had in his minibus more than 14 passengers, along with an amplifier, tape deck and speakers that he used to provide entertainment.
