Group ‘B’ favourites Winners Connection maintained their unbeaten run in the Netrockers Football Club Linden Town Week under-19 competition when they thumped Blue Berry Hill in recent play at the Bayrock Community Centre ground.
Left winger Jamal Forde opened Winners Connection’s account six minutes into the game as they signaled early intentions that they meant serious business. Blue Berry Hill (BBH) did not help their cause as twenty one minutes into the game their leading player, Jason ‘Brew’ Cobena was expelled from the game.
Despite this setback, they (BBH) created a chance to level the score when they drew a penalty. But they messed up big time as Kevon Wolf, who was entrusted with the shot, sent the ball wide of the mark.
Winners put the game beyond any doubt with a 68th minute goal by Jamal Ford, the result keeping their unbeaten run intact as they remained on course for a semi-final spot.
Host club Netrockers are also unbeaten after two matches and along with Winners will be seeking to maintain winning ways.
