The 2009 Spready’s Bakery under-19 tournament in Berbice bowled off with a number of outstanding performances with the highlight being a maiden century from Port Mourant’s Marvin Bheemsingh (101).
Other outstanding individual scores were recorded by Jermain John 76, Alexander Amsterdam 70, Charran Mankarran 60 and Rocky Hutson 52.
In the bowling department Adiyta Bath’s Marlon Dindial 5-11, Tucber Park’s Trinson Carmichael 5-21, Rose Hall Town Pepsi’s Eon Hooper took 5-34, Kildonan’s Hemraj Mankarran 5-43, and Scottsburg’s Alex Amsterdam 4 for 4.

At Port Mourant, the home team defeated the Rose Hall Town Metro (Female Team) by 170 runs. Port Mourant 260 all out, M. Bheemsingh 101; Erva Giddings 3-39 and Nikita Toney 3-51. Metro Female team 90 all out in 23.4 overs, S. Kissoonlall 41. Bowling for Port Mourant George Hughes took 3-24.
At Kildonan – the home team defeated Port Mourant by 150 runs. Kildonan 294-6 off 50 overs, Charran Mankarran 60, Hemraj Mankarran 54, Orwin Ramsingh 2-33, Port Mourant 144 all out in 32.4 overs. Seon Joseph 25, Hemraj Mankarran 5-43, Narendra Ramnarine 4-39.
At the Area ‘H’ ground – Rose Hall Town Pepsi “A” defeated Guysuco Training Centre (GTC) by 7 wickets. GTC were bowled out for 112 in 26.4 Overs, Kevin Stewart 29, Eon Hooper 5-34, Naresh Mahadeo 3-24. Rose Hall Town Pepsi 114-3 off in 22.1 with Eon Hooper 30 not out and Dominic Ricky 20.
At Seawell – Achievers hammered Rainbow Generation by 96 runs. Achievers – 205 all out in 36 overs, S. McPherson 37, R. Estriado 46, Clensford Alley 4-27. Rainbow Generation 109 all out. Kevis Adridge 23, R. Johnson 3-24 and S. McPherson 3-16.At Woodley Park – Adiyta Bath trounced Bath Development by 7 wickets. Bath Development 117 all out. Anand Balkarran 34, Marlon Dindial 5-11. Adiyta Bath 118-3, Lakeram Chetram 32, Brian Ramoo 2-17.
At Canje – Tucber Park crushed Rose Hall Canje by 145 runs. Tucber Park 266 in 43.5 overs, Jermain John 76, Kevin Leitch 65 and Steve DeFreitas 44. Hamesh Gilead 3-35 and Udesh Imrit 2-56. Canje 121 all out in 33.4 overs, Kevin Ramdeen 49, Trinson Carmichael 5-21.
At Scotsburg the home team defeated Crabwood Creek by 139 runs. Scotsburg 221, Alex Amsterdam 70, Akram Rajack 32 and Marvin Harvey 28. Michael Mohan 3-34. Crabwood Creek 82 all out in 29.1 Overs, Michael Mohan 37, Akram Razack 3-14, Alex Amsterdam 4-4.
At Cumberland – Police defeated Young Warriors by 24 runs. Police 185 in 43 overs. Rocky Hutson 52, Seon Hetmyer 5-61. Young Warriors 161 all out in 41.2 overs, Seon Hetmyer 32, Malvern Williams 4-30 and Rocky Hutson 3-36.
