Police are investigating the death of 47-year-old Nandram Persaud, who was found in his home at Lot Two, Mon Repos North, East Coast Demerara around 19:00 hrs yesterday.
The victim was found with his upper body dangling from a hammock in his hallway.
Relatives said that they believe that Persaud, who suffered from hypertension and who lived alone, died after hitting his head on the floor.
Persaud’s estranged wife told Kaieteur News that relatives had visited the house.
After calling and receiving no information, a nephew entered via a window and found his uncle’s body in a hammock in the hallway.
The police were then notified and the body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
