The Trophy Stall sponsored Guyana Softball Cricket League National 15-overs Softball cricket competition continued with several matches around the country where several teams were on winner’s row.
Following are the results:
West Coast zone
Windsor Forest Ground – Windsor Forest SC defeated All Star XI by 20 runs;
Windsor Forest 180 all out in 14.5 overs (Doodnauth Dhanraj 61, Mohanram Chaitram 25; Mohamed Zakir 3-17) In reply All Star XI could only get to 160-8 in their 15 overs (Shaffil Hack 75, Mohamed Zakir 34, Rohan Harrinarine 3-18).
12.00 Noon:
Hyde Park SC took care of All Star XI (playing their second match) by 7 wickets;
All Star XI batted first and were bowled out for 139 in 14 overs (Shaffil Hack 43, Mohamed Zakir 27, Imran Mohamed 3-13). Hyde Park SC knocked off the runs reaching 140-3 in 11.2 overs (Imtiaz Shafeek 48, Mohamed Ejaz 42.
Hyde Park SC in their second match got a walkover from Hurricane XI.
At Leonora Primary School ground, Parika / Hydronie created an upset when they defeated Boom Blast XI by 66 runs.
Parika/Hydronie bating first posted 133-9 in 15 overs (Brian Herbert 29, Rohan Thorne 18, Shahabudeen Kalamudeen 3-40). Boom Blast were sent packing for 67 8.3 overs (Neil Bissesar 22, Rohan Thorne 3-15, Leon Spears 3-25).
Superstreet XI got the better of Parika/Hydronie SC (playing their 2nd match) by 4 wickets.
Parika batted first and were bowled out for 85 in 14.2 overs (Frederick Cyril 29, Bharat Ramdial 4-20, Salim Khan 3-15). Superstreet made 86-6 from 12.3 overs (Zahid Khan 31; Frederick Cyril 3-20). Rangers SC ‘B’ team got a walkover from Hard Knocks.
West Bank zone
Providence Ground – La Grange All Youths SC defeated Bhaiya XI by 8 wickets.
Bhaiya XI took first strike and scored 198-3 from 15 overs (Seenauth Bissesar 80, Anthony Brown 37, Travis Williams 2-35). All Youths SC raced to 199-2 from 14.3 overs (Ricky Persaud 90 not out, Travis Williams 55 not out).
Bhaiya XI (in their second match) defeated Young Challengers XI by 82 runs.
Bhaiya XI batted first and scored 178-4 from 15 overs (Seenauth Bissesar 44, Rocky Singh 34, Travis Brown 3-30). Young Challengers XI were bowled out for 96 in 11.1 overs (Roy Baichan 25, Ricky Singh 4-25).
East Coast zone
Ogle Ground – Sleep Inn XI got the better of Gas XI by 51 runs.
Sleep Inn XI batting first scored 168-4 in 15 overs (Jairam Narine 60, Nadir Baksh 1-14). Gas XI were sent packing for 117 in 14 overs (Nadir Baksh 39, Dasrat Bissoon 2-25).
Rockets XI defeated Better Hope XI by 2 wickets; Better Hope XI were skittled out for 89 off their 15 overs (Sham Seeraj 16, Bisham Rampersaud 2-8). Rockets XI made 90-8 with one ball to spare, (Carl Rampersaud 18, Ron Jaisingh 2-6). Rockaway XI got a walkover from Cane Grove XI.
Andy XI defeated Ogle Youths XI (Under-15) by 10 wickets; Ogle Youths were toppled for 85 in 10 overs (Akash Singh 20, Anthony Thomas 5-20). Andy XI eased to 86-0 in 8 overs (Anil Mangra 43, Chris Narine 26).
Kishan XI made light work of Ogle Mandir by 99 runs: Kishan XI 146-9 in 15 overs (Asif Ali 59, Chris Ramnarine 40, B. Tiwari 2-27). Ogle Mandir were shot out for 47 in 10 overs (Chris Ramnarine 4-15).
Kishan XI (in their 2nd match) demolished Hot Steppers XI by 101 runs:
Kishan XI 177-7 in 15 overs (Asif Ali 33(3×4); Sheik Mullah 2-10 from 3 overs). Hot Steppers XI were bundled out for 76 in 14.5 overs (Andy Singh 18(3×4); Chris Ramnarine 5-11 from 3 overs; Asif Ali 2-17 from 3 overs; Raj Premraj 2-22 from 3 overs).
Georgetown zone
Eve Leary ground
Farm Masjid defeated Street boys XI by 8 wickets.
Street Boys XI took first strike and were bowled out for 101 in 14.5 overs (Leonard Seenarine 29, Chris Shaw 22, Patrick Khan 5-17, Shoaib Mohamed 2-11). Farm Masjid reached 104-2 off 13 overs (Abdool Sadeek 39, Vivian Bissoon 32).
Farm Masjid won via walk over from Knight Riders XI.
Ariel XI defeated Banks DIH by 25 runs. Ariel XI batted first and scored 122-9 in 15 overs (Ejaz Mohamed 27, Samuel Kingston 24, Rudy Narine 3-24, Otis George 2-19). Banks DIH were limited to 97-6 off their overs (Robin Singh 35, Leon Da Souza 25, Raj Singh 2-10).
Essequibo Coast zone
Perseverance ground
Die Hard continued their winning ways by defeating Golden Fleece by 6 wickets:
Golden Fleece batted first and scored 141-6 in 15 overs (Trevor Chan 55, Bisham Seepersaud 29, Vitendra Imrit 4-26). Die Hard XI needed only 10 overs to post 142-4 (Patrick Rooplall 52, Yassin Mohamed 47, Raj Ramnarine 2-36).
Cullen SC got the better of Reliance SC by 3 wickets:
Reliance SC batted first and scored 134-5 from 15 overs (Vijay Persaud 56, Shivanand Madholall 37, Anand Ramnarine 2-19, Omesh Singh 2-21 from 3 overs). Cullen SC made 135-7 from 14.3 overs (Tameshwar Singh 70 not out, Narendra Madholall 3-16).
Young Warriors SC Defeated All Star XI by 8 runs:
Young Warriors batting first posted 141-9 in 15 overs (Khalid Baksh 47, Paramlall Ragubansie 26, Latchman Rohit 3-17). All Star XI could only manage 133-9 when their overs ran out (Shivanand Madholall 37, Anand Ramnarine 2-19).
United Brothers SC defeated Airy Hall SC in a high scoring match by 67 runs:
United Bros SC batted first and scored 244-2 in 15 overs (Jerome Trotman 105, Raymond Beaton 27, Azam Haniff 3-20). Airy Hall SC were limited to 177-8 in 15 overs (Suresh Persaud 48, Gopaul Deen 3-30).
Professionals XI defeated El Dorado SC by 4 wickets:
El Dorado SC bating first and scored 135-8 in 15 overs, Professionals responded with 136-6 off 8.3 (Ramesh Narine 72 not out).
West Coast zone

Zeeburg Warriors got the better of Rangers SC “B” Team:
Rangers SC “B” Team batted first and scored 113 all out in 13.2 overs (Anthony Arjune 20, Balbinder Persaud 4-16, Fiaz Ali 3-9). Zeeburg Warriors 114-8 off 13.5 (Balbinder Persaud 36, Arjune Persaud 24).
Rangers SC “A” Team defeated Superstreet XI by 59 runs:
Rangers SC “A” 149-9 in 15 overs (Navendra Balkissoon 46, Dhaniram Persaud 36, Bharat Ramdial 2-17, Salim Khan 2-13). Superstreet XI were limited to 90-9 in 15 overs. (Tameshwar Budai 23, Dhaniram Persaud3-15).
Rangers SC “B” won by walkover from Boom Blast XI. Zeeburg Warriors also won via the same route over Windsor Forest SC. The Stewartville and Windsor Forest clash ended in dispute.
Hurricane XI defeated Superstreet XI (in their 2nd match) by 6 runs: Hurricane XI batted first and were bowled out for 99 off 12.5 overs. (Lincoln Ramdar 43, Naeem Khalil 19, Ricky Bacchus 3-15, Bharat Ramdial 3-20). Superstreet XI were fired out for 93 off their 15 overs (Zakir Khan 14, Aftab Hussain 5-15, Naeem Khalil 3-15).
West Bank zone
Providence ground
La Grange All Youths SC made light work of Takers XI winning by 89 runs:
La Grange All Youths SC 186-5 in 15 overs (Anthony Carter 55, Deoram Persaud 35, Abdul Wahid 3-36). Takers XI were bundled out for 97 in 14 overs (Carton Fraser 34, Anil Surujpaul 3-13).
East Coast zone
Ogle Ground
Upsetters defeated Hot Steppers XI by 63 runs:
Upsetters XI 173 all out in 15 overs (Jailall Persaud 39, Navin Boodhoo 31, Michael Mohan 5-34, Ishwar Sookram 3-28). Hot Steppers were knocked over for 110 in 15 overs (Wasim Baljit 35, Michael Mohan 26, Bharat Singh 4-15).
Rockaway won by walkover from Better Hope XI.
Wakenaam zone
Belle Plain SC got the better of Seashore XI by 99 runs and then demolished Cavaliers by 131 runs while Dare Devils XI got the better of Cavaliers by 7 wickets.
