The Beacon Ministries – West Demerara Athletics Club with the assistance of Enmore Athletics Club will be hosting a Development Meet under the auspices of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) today at the Wales Community Centre Ground, West Bank Demerara, starting from 9:30hrs.
Clubs from around the country with premier athletes, the likes of Kenneth Semple, (aka BC), Jamal Holland, Cleveland Thomas, Patrick King, Malika Cordis and Ianna Graham among others will be competing in short distance track events from under 13 to Open. Each participant will be required pay one hundred dollars ($100) entrance fee per event and can enter no more than two events.
Meanwhile, a road relay will be held in collaboration with the Region 3 Regional Democratic Council starting from Stanleytown and concluding at the Wales Community Center ground. Starting time is 08:30hrs today.
Clubs expected to participate are Police, Rising Stars, Royals, Silver Bullet, Running Brave, Enmore, Mercury Fast Lane, YMCA, Rural Heights New Amsterdam Track Runners, Road Runners, Bedford All Stars apart from a number of schools.
