Groves’ Mervin Squires (No. 8 - right) firing in another goal against Samatta Point in their clash yesterday at the Grove ground.
Competition in the Fruta sponsored East Bank Football Association under-13 league resumed yesterday at the Grove ground with only one of three scheduled matches played.
Grove Hi Tec continued their fine showing with victory number two to maintain their unbeaten record.
They demolished the challenge of neighbours Samatta Point 6-0 to follow up their 5-1 demolition of Bagotstown in their first game last November.
The young Grove outfit showed no signs of being inactive as they undertook the job of winning the championship in a business like fashion.
Mervin Squires blasted a hat-trick with Trevor Jones hammering a double, Shelton Joseph helping himself to the other goal.
Bagotstown recorded their first points of the tournament by way of walk over from Meadow Bank.
