Residents of Port Kaituma said they are living in fear as the man who is alleged to have killed his wife, Deborah Allen, on Sunday last is still at large and might still be in the community.
They claim that the man was spotted in a neighborhood burial ground on Tuesday, and an attempt was made to apprehend him, but he managed to elude his pursuers.
On Sunday last around 05:00 hours, Deborah Allen was attacked by her paramour following a heated argument at the couple’s Port Kaituma home.
The woman was hacked with a cutlass while her daughter was chopped to the face. By the time Deborah Allen was rushed to the Port Kaituma Hospital she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her daughter was subsequently air-dashed to the city for treatment.
She is said to be resting well at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
