The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) wants members of the public who are seeking to access the services in the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre Building to do so by using the East Street entrance to the compound, as opposed to the New Market Street entrance which is regularly used.
This is to facilitate construction work which will begin in that area tomorrow. Services located in the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre Building include Surgical Out Patient Clinic, Medical Out Patient Clinic, Central Medical Laboratory, Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit and Diabetic Foot Center, among others.
There will be restricted access for vehicles entering the compound during this period. Vehicles entering the compound to drop off persons are asked to use the first gate from Thomas Street, Georgetown.
Only authorized vehicles will be allowed into the compound.
The access route to the Accident and Emergency Unit remains the same.
