Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited handed over 60 pairs of desks and benches to the Houston Community High School, East Bank Demerara, yesterday.
The donation was made under the bank’s Power to Make a Difference (PMAD) community outreach initiative. The school has also been identified for refurbishment as part of the PMAD programme for this fiscal year.
The donation was presented to Mrs. Vanessa Critchlow, Headmistress of the Houston Community High School, in the presence of the students and Ministry of Education representatives Ms. Chandrakala Ramsammy, Principal Education Officer; and Mrs. Myra Pierre-Moore, District Education Officer.
