The madness continues on the streets because for some crazy reason people are refusing to heed the basic rules. They simply cannot stop when signs so indicate and they refuse to heed other traffic on the roads.
In some cases, the people simply cannot avoid it because the road demons were robbed during the past year. Forces intervened to limit the number of deaths so these demons are trying to make up for lost souls.
However, they can be combated if people only take their time. Note that harmless pedestrians are being killed because the other road user who uses the facility is needed by the demons to claim more lives and to make up for last year.
There will be more of the same this week and the restricting forces will be stepping up a campaign although there are those within the midst who will turn a blind eye once compensated.

Another fire is going to strike where least expected and the experts, as is the case this time around, will be pressed to find the cause.
More demons are at work and with the leap year just concluded, they are trying their utmost to make their presence felt.
