Dear Editor,
I had to laugh, and laugh so much after reading Hammy Green’s letter in today’s Chronicle (27-01-09) captioned, “A redesigning of grill-work should be examined”.
Hammy, just like how the PNC and you always called on Government to examine the “root cause” of crimes in Guyana. You always cry of being discriminated against – disenfranchised and marginalised by Government.
You must ask the PNC and yourself what is the “root cause” of people having to resort to installing massive grill work on their homes.
Hammy, no one will ever forget or must never forget that it was your PNC and you are the “root cause” of why this is so.
Did you not remember that it was your party and you who were in power when there were the “kick down your door bandits”?
That was the time citizens started grilling their homes. Did they not Hammy?
Hammy, when that didn’t work out for bandits, did they not start lighting fires under people’s homes to flush them out at the mercy of the “kick down the door bandits”?
Hammy Green, I now ask you one pertinent question Sir: What have the PNC and you done lately to work with and or cooperate with Government and security forces of Guyana in order to protect it’s citizens from criminals?
