Residents of the Campbellville/Bel Air area have expressed their gratitude to the Mayor and City Council (M&CC) and the Ministry of Public Works for repairing the damaged roadways in their area. The roads had been in a state of disrepair for some time.
Further, the bridge at the junction of Garnett and Campbell Streets had caved in late last year, and has since been repaired. And the residents of First Street, Bel Air Village, are pleased, too, that the gaping hole in the road, the only road that links Bel Air Village to the rest of the city, has been repaired.
Meanwhile, commuters along D’Urban Street have said that they are waiting for the large pothole at the junction of D’Urban and High Streets to be repaired.
Minibus operators have said that the hole makes driving difficult, since they have to make exceptionally wide turns.
