Dear Editor,
Even as new laws are being imposed on motorists, some drivers are still driving in a reckless manner on the roads.
Some villages like Zeelugt have main streets running through them, and these streets are used by residents, especially the children and motorists. Some of the drivers will see children and adults on the road and continue to drive at a dangerous speed, especially on Brother Dam.
Could you imagine that if the police stop the motorists on the public road they would get charged for speeding? That is the way they drive in Brother Dam. I am asking the relevant authorities to please help the residents before something happens by putting speed humps in the streets. The police are only on the public roads and laws are broken daily in the villages by motorists, some of whom may be unlicensed or underage drivers.
