Former Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) President and Vice-President of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Alvin Johnson was re-elected Chairman of East Bank Essequibo Cricket Committee (EBECC) at its Biennial General Meeting at Parika on January 10.
The 51-year-old Johnson has been at the helm of the EBECC since 1996 and will serve his second consecutive two-year term after elections were held annually before last year.
The full committee read: (Chairman)- Alvin Johnson, (Vice Chairman) Orville Stuart
(Secretary)-Sharon George, (Treasurer)-Zabeer Zakeer, (Asst Sect/Treasurer)- Stacy Williams, (Marketing Officer)-Khain Singh, (Public Relations Officer)- Cosmo Adams.
The representatives on the Essequibo Cricket Board are Alvin Johnson and Sharon George with the alternates being Khain Singh and Stacy Williams.
The Internal Auditor is Miguel Anthony while the trustees are Shurland Wilson and Gregory George.
The following persons will head the Sub-committees: (Competition): Cosmo Adams, (Cricket Development) Orville Stuart, (Selection) Lall Bachan, (Finance and Fund Raising) Zabeer Zakeer, (Disciplinary and Guidance and Counseling) Alvin Johnson.
The Executive Committee will meet shortly to name the other Sub-committee members and plan for the year 2009.
