Wayne Emanuel, 22, of Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, on January 19, 2009, to face the charge of robbery with violence.
It is alleged that he stole from Collis Sullivan one gold chain worth $150,000, and then robbed Sullivan of $5,000 cash.
He pleaded not guilty.
The defendant, who works as a labourer with his uncle, said that he didn’t rob anybody.
He was placed on $75,000 bail, and was ordered to make his next court appearance on February 18 next.
