Man remanded over stolen cell phone

Randy Courtney, 21, of the New Housing Scheme, D’Urban Backlands, yesterday appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson and was remanded on a charge of simple larceny.
Courtney allegedly stole a Samsung cellular phone from Adana Stanton on January 13, last.
The defendant, who is a cell phone repair man and well known by the virtual complainant, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was remanded to prison until today, and was advised by the Magistrate that he should know what his Lot number is at his next court appearance
