A woman and two men are currently in police custody at the Anna Regina Police Station assisting with investigations after an unlicensed weapon with matching rounds was found in a yard.
This newspaper was told that, at around noon yesterday, police made the find in a yard in Walton Hall on the Essequibo Coast.
Reports are that the police received a report that a family was receiving threats from someone, and acting on information, they went to a house at Walton Hall.
A search was carried out and one .38 Taurus revolver along with six matching rounds were found stashed in the yard.
The occupants who were in the house — a woman and two men — were arrested. Investigations are ongoing.
