Old people seh that when you got you dawg you mustn’t disown it because is that same dawg gun save you life. Dem other old people seh that when you own bug bite you, you well bitten.
Well dem boys seh that GuySuCo own bug dig a bite in de company. De bite suh bad that GuySuCo decide fuh disown de bug.
De whole story begin when a bird from inside GuySuCo complain how de new Skeldon sugar factory waste cane and money. De story was suh shameful that GuySuCo decide that it had to respond. In real bad woman fashion it start fuh cuss out and then to sweeten de cuss it claim how it didn’t budget fuh de money anyhow suh it irrelevant. Is US$3 million dem talking bout. That money irrelevant.
Imagine GuySuCo holler how it irrelevant but when it had to pay de same sugar workers less than that it holler how it ain’t got.
Bharrat sit down in he office and he see de thing. Poor fella, he believe that people been attacking GuySuCo unfairly because when he ask if de sugar company claim how US$3 million irrelevant de people holler how dem ain’t write nutten like that.
Dem boys seh that when you tell lie you got to remember de lie. Somebody at GuySuCo get vex suh dem draft de response. Dem send de response to a certain Minister fuh he vetting and de Minister smile. “We got dem and we gun dig a prappa lash pun dem”. Is de Waterfalls paper he was talking bout.
GuySuCo send de letter to GINA, to Chronicle, to Guyana Times, to de Big Market paper and to everybody. De Chronicle print de thing like if is a letter and dem sign it by Observer. When Bharrat ask if de money irrelevant GuySuCo deny de letter and Bharrat believe dem.
He join and cuss de Waterfalls paper till he hear de truth. He get vex and GuySuCo now quiet because dem waiting fuh de fall out when Bharrat come back.
But dem have other big, big ones who causing mischief. One of dem calling people all over the country and even in New York fuh advertise wid de Hard Times paper. This paper got nuff space, more than de conservancy.
Every now and then de government does put in one, one and GBTI does put in two, two, and Digicel does put in three and some other private people does chip in. But this ain’t enough suh some big ones chipping in and begging. That is why de GTUC now claiming how Guyana is a country of beggars who got big begging bowls.
Dem have people begging fuh contracts when dem can’t do de wuk. De government announce that it have to build a big canal at Hope. Right away if you see contractors who line up. One man call in a mechanic fuh repair an old tractor under he house; another get some shovel men because he understand that dem have to dig de canal.
Bharrat announce that is foreign contractors and engineers who gun get de wuk. Some of dem contractors already moving out to live in Trinidad and Suriname so that dem can claim that dem is overseas people too.
Dem boys seh that dem have de other set who didn’t want Robert Badal get de Pegasus.
Poor Robert didn’t have enough money suh he ask fuh some extension while he tackle a bank. Couple people call dem bank and Badal hear how he loan request processing but de people who selling couldn’t grant any extension.
De sale fall through and de people who wanted to sell de Pegasus get vex because although people promise fuh come forward, dem ain’t coming. Is like if dem gone out to beg fuh raise de money.
Now dem boys waiting to see who gun come forward. Dem seeing some people who never use to go to de Pegasus going there right now. And dem ain’t going to drink and relax. People want to know if dem going to look over de place.
Talk half. Lef half.
