On New Year’s Day, some eight mothers who delivered their babies were presented with hampers, compliments of Teddies.
The first baby, a girl, was born to Sharmina Hubbard, of La Penitence, at the Georgetown Public Hospital. Hubbard gave birth to her daughter at 0:59.
Also giving birth on New Year’s Day were Takisha Schultz, of Laing Avenue, and Arlene Leacock, of East Ruimveldt. They both delivered baby boys at 1:13 hours.
The other mothers who delivered babies are Slikaidai Pooran, a boy; Kamla Ghanie, a girl; and Kishmattie Seerichand, a boy. In total, there were three girls and four boys.
These mothers were presented with hampers which included a pack of Teddies Newborn, Teddies wipes, bags and Growth Development Chart.
Meanwhile, over at the Medical Arts hospital, there was only one mother who gave birth. Carletta Agard gave birth to a baby boy at 7:10 hours.
This event has, over the past ten years, become an annual exercise.
