DEAR EDITOR,
I travelled to the Essequibo coast over the weekend and was surprised that the speed-boat operators are still charging commuters $1,200 to cross from Parika to Supenaam.
This is the second time that fuel price has been reduced, but the fare has not been reduced, also hire-care operators are still charging $1,000 per person from Supenaam to Charity. This fare also should be reduced.
Now that gas price is $555 per gallon, why is it taking so long for these fares to be reduced, so that the ordinary man can benefit from the fuel reduction?
