Dear Editor,
It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Board of Directors, Executives, and members of the New Jersey Arya Samaj Mandir, Inc. – Guyana Central Arya Samaj Humanitarian Mission and on my own behalf, to extend best wishes and heartfelt congratulations to the Board of Directors and members of the Guyanese Women in Development (Guywid), a non-governmental organisation working in the interest of the development of women in Guyana, on their official opening of their new office in an effort to expand on their services to women and all others that are in need.
As you collectively continue your charitable programmes aimed at serving and improving the quality of lives for women in your communities, to create an environment of care and confidence by providing education, skill training opportunities necessary to empower women to take leadership roles and to help develop their communities by providing information, raising awareness and advocating for change.
We know that charitable and selfless service is a material component of all major religions and spiritual disciplines in the World.
The Guyanese Women in Development (Guywid) is committed to rendering charitable service in an organised manner which is entirely laudable.
Such service to humanity anywhere in the World is good.
Nonetheless, I would particularly wish to recognise and endorse the charitable service of your organisation in some areas in Guyana. I well recall reading about your contributions on line from the leading newspapers in Guyana.
Pandit Suresh Sugrim
