Kennard said that a stable of horses will arrive from the USA shortly and will bolster the present stock. He is optimistic that with this addition the quality of local horse racing will improve.
He said that 19 race meets were planned for 2008 and with the expected shipment of horses from the USA the situation will be much improved. “I am confident that the Boxing Day Meet will provide top class entertainment since most of the country’s top horses will be on show,” Kennard opined.
