Bread giants Bakewell, has maintained their sponsorship of Topp XX and Buxton Stars with their yearly contribution of equipment and cash.
Yesterday at Roti Hut, another of the Company’s investments, General Manager Rajin Ganga presented both clubs with a new set of uniforms, balls and undisclosed amounts of cash to help with their continued development.
Ganga said that this is the company’s yearly donation to the clubs and it comes just before they participate in the 19th Kashif and Shanghai football tournament.
“As a good corporate citizen, Bakewell understands the role it has to play in the development of sports in Guyana and we will continue to do that as long as we are around. We would like to take this opportunity to wish both teams well in eth K&S tournament.”
Ganga disclosed that Bakewell added incentives are at stake for both clubs should they advance to the semi finals and beyond in the K&S tournament.

Topp XX will be in action in the first match against fellow Linden side Rusal when on field kicks off on Sunday at the Mackenzie Sports club ground in Linden.
Both clubs expressed gratitude to Bakewell for their continued support. This is the 9th year Topp XX has been sponsored while it’s the second for Buxton Stars who will play their first game in the tournament on Sunday December 21 against the Guyana Defense Force at the Buxton Community Centre ground.Gear, balls and cash handed over
