Medium pacer Keenan Seegobin took 6 for 20 as School of the Nations New Amsterdam dismissed Canje Secondary (CSS) for a paltry 74 in 25 overs in latest action in the Berbice zone of the National Secondary Schools cricket competition.
However, Seegobin watched as his batsmen made a meal of the total to be bowled out for 49. Left arm spinner Kwesi Parris grabbed 5 for 17 from 6 overs to spearhead his team to victory.
Kevon Jawahir, an off spinner from Berbice High School, took 5-25 from 8 overs to help restrict Vryman’s Erven Secondary to 127 all out in 24 overs.
When Berbice High batted they made heavy weather chasing having run afoul of pacers Romario De Jonge who grabbed 5-25 from 6 overs and Orlando Tanner who picked up 3-30 from 7 overs.
Both De Jonge with a century and Tanner who blitzed an 8 wicket haul had made just as telling an impact in their previous game against School of the Nations-N/A.
