DEAR EDITOR,
Thanks to all from abroad who sent money to Guyana for sacrifices, in the name of their deceased relatives, so that the meats could be given to the poor and needy.
Qurbani is for both, names of the deceased and living persons.
Living persons Personal Qurbani can be pooled together in seven shares for a bull, to make it less costly.
A few bulls have been purchased and distributed to the Mosques without bulls.
These animals are sacrificed, and the meats distributed, regardless of race, colour, or religion.
Some in the Diaspora do their Personal Sacrifice (Qurbani) in the US, Canada and England.
I recommend more Qurbanis, so as to share with our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Guyana.
We have the contact to do this, and have been doing this for many years in Guyana.
My brother-in-law, Sonny Habibulla, has a slaughter house at Rising Sun Estates, West Coast Berbice.
Most of the slaughtering is done on the premises in clean, sanitary, and safe conditions. We arrange for persons to find out which mosques need help and they either take the bulls or have them slaughtered at Rising Sun Estates, and then distribute the meat to the needy.
Only the mosques distribute the meat.
The meat will reach the poor and needy in Guyana, all races, and all religions.
It is too late for this year, but I can help with the arrangements, from Florida, USA, if, you are interested, for the future.
