The People’s National Congress Reform extends greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha to all Guyanese, but more especially to our Muslim Brothers and Sisters and hopes that this occasion will be one of reflection and a deepening of a sense of commitment to the spiritual foundation of the nation.
The significance of Eid-ul-Azha resides in the fact that the Prophet made the supreme sacrifice which is evidence of his total adherence to the doctrines and teachings of Allah.
On the question of the commitment to ideals and the spiritual foundation of this nation, it is appropriate for the PNCR to make another call on all of our citizens to commit themselves to building a new political culture in this country, one which would facilitate the real and rapid development of the nation and ensure the individual fulfillment of every citizen.
As the Party wishes every Guyanese a peaceful Eid-ul-Azha, it restates its commitment to religious freedom, tolerance and the diversity of the nation.
